Following a tradition going back more than 20 years, the Organizing Commission for the Letter of the Year gathered on December 31, 2007 in the house situated on Ave 10 de Octubre #1509 and Josefina y Gertrudis, Vibora, Municipio 10 de Octubre, City of La Habana, Cuba.
This ceremony was presided over by the Ifá priest Guillermo Diago "Ogbe Weñe" and the backing of more than 1000 Ifá priests representing all the Ifá families in Cuba and their descendants in the world, the sign being taken out by the youngest priest.
Letter of the Year: Iwori Rete
Witnesses: Obeyono, Obeate
Prophesy: Ire Aiku lashe leri lowo Oshun (Health and long life through the ashé given to one's head at the hands of Oshún)
Onishe for Oshun: Aladimu (harina con dulce - called polenta in many places - not to be confused with just adding sweets to corn meal) this work is done for Oshún and Yemayá together.
Onishe ara: Kuaraldo with a pigeon at the feet of Ogún, afterwards refreshing Ogún with an omiero made from Alancracillo.
Onishe ilé: Clean the house with omiero made from alancrancillo.
Reigning Divinity (Orisha): Ogún (Patron of blacksmiths and those in the military), adored in the cities of Ire and Iyesa in the west of Nigeria.
Accompanying Divinity: with Yemayá (divinity of the waters and the mother of the fishes, venerated on the Ogun River located in the Ibara barrio inthe Abeokuta region in Nigeria.
Flag of the Year: half green and half blue.
Ebó: 1 rooster, one piece of meat, hair, ewe vinagrillo, astick of rascabarriga, a stone and the rest of the usual ingredients which go into Ifá ebós .

Siguiendo una tradición de
más de 20 años se reunió la Comisión
Organizadora de la Letra del Año el pasado 31 de Diciembre del
2007, en la casa templo situado en Ave. 10 de Octubre # 1509 e/
Josefina y Gertrudis, Víbora, Municipio 10 de Octubre, Ciudad de
La Habana, Cuba.
Esta ceremonia fue presidida por el
sacerdote de Ifá Guillermo Diago “Ogbe Weñe” y el
respaldo de mas de 1000 Sacerdotes de Ifa en representación de
todas las familias de Cuba y sus descendientes en el Mundo, saco la
letra el sacerdote mas pequeño.
